Soccer has been a major part of my life since I first started playing at the age of six, and I continue to play regularly today.

At 13, I had the opportunity to play at the academy level overseas with a professional football club. That experience gave me an early introduction to structured training, competition, discipline, and the technical side of the game.

From 2012 to 2022, I organized and managed a weekly 35-player soccer group, overseeing everything from player and roster management to matchday organization. I also worked individually with players to help improve their fitness, skills, and overall game.

During my time in Toronto, I coached a regional league team, running weekly training sessions and managing tactics and match strategy.

Today, I bring together a lifetime of playing experience with years of coaching, organizing, and developing players. I understand the game not only from the sidelines, but from the perspective of someone who still gets on the field and plays.

Soccer has been my passion since I was six years old, and it remains my passion today.

Soccer’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember — I’ve played it my whole life and still play today, and I’ve spent more than seven years coaching in Vancouver, from recreational players to competitive Division 1.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized you don’t stop loving the game just because you’re not 20 anymore. You might be slower, or you might’ve been away for years — that doesn’t mean you can’t get back on the field.

That’s why I started Back2Soccer: a place for adults to train, get fit and enjoy soccer again, without tryouts, pressure or worrying if you’re good enough.

Whether you play every week or haven’t touched a ball in 15 years, you’re welcome.

I've been playing soccer for over 40 years. Yes, I'm doing the math for you: I'm 47 and still lacing up. Some things you just don't grow out of.

For 6 years, I coached boys' and girls' teams around Vancouver, and along the way I also managed and mentored adult recreational teams, which taught me what adults actually need from the game: less pressure, more fun, and a reason to show up every week.

And for 15 years, coed recreational soccer has been my thing. Not competitive leagues, not tryouts, just good people getting together to run around, sweat a little, and remember why we all fell in love with this game in the first place.

That's exactly what Back2Soccer is built for. Whether you last played last month or last decade, there's a spot for you on the field.

Yuval has completed Canada Soccer's Fundamentals coach education and brings a practical, encouraging approach to helping adults improve their game and enjoy being back on the field.
