What to Expect
Your first class is 60 minutes — a warm-up, technical work, then small-sided 8v8 games — and it’s free. Bring shin guards and the right shoes for your field. A few honest answers below, so it feels familiar before you even arrive.
Is this for me?
Do I need to already be fit?
No. Every Back2Soccer class is built so fitness comes from playing, not from a warm-up test before you’re allowed to join. You set your own pace within the session.
What if I haven’t played in years?
You’re exactly who this was built for. Sessions are designed to ease you back into soccer fitness and technique, not to test you against people who never stopped playing.
Am I too old to start playing again?
Not at all. Back2Soccer is built for adults, including people returning to soccer after years away. Classes may include a mix of ages, and some sessions are designed specifically around particular age groups. Check the age range on the class before booking.
Before you go
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. Shin guards and appropriate soccer footwear are required. Footwear rules vary by field — check your session page. Forgot your shin guards? Rentals are available for $2.
What happens when I arrive?
Arrive about 10–15 minutes before your class. Look for your Back2Soccer coach near the field and check in when you arrive. We’ll introduce ourselves, help you get settled and let you know what to expect from the session. Coming on your own? No problem. Your coach will welcome you, introduce you and help you get settled before the session starts.
The session itself
What does a class actually look like?
Most classes follow a similar shape: a dynamic warm-up, ball work and technique, some agility or movement, and small-sided games to bring it together. The exact structure for each class is listed on its program page under “A typical session.”
Will I be the worst player there?
Classes marked Beginner Friendly welcome players who are brand new to soccer and players returning after years away, side by side. Classes are mixed ages and mixed genders, and players move around and play different positions rather than being locked into one role — check the skill level badge on any class before booking if you’re unsure.
Can I come by myself?
Yes — most people do at first. You’ll be introduced around and settled in before the session starts, and if you book the same day and time regularly, you’ll likely start recognizing familiar faces.
Booking and cancelling
Do I need to commit to a team or season?
No. You book the individual classes that work for your schedule — there’s no season-long sign-up required.
What if I need to cancel?
Plans change. Cancel at least 24 hours before your session and your booking will be handled according to our cancellation policy.
Ready to get back on the pitch?
You don’t need a team. You don’t need to be in great shape. And you don’t need to worry about how long it’s been.
